quality (In French qualité) totality of characteristics and characteristic values of a unit with regard to its aptitude to meet defined and predicted requirements. In the sense of color communication, the highest quality standard is the required degree of color rendering, which is guaranteed by standards, tolerance agreements and quality assurance as well as objective color technologies such as ICC color management.
