metallic inks (In French encres métalliques) printing inks to which metallic pigments have been added to achieve a metallic gloss effect. Such pigments are brass-based “rich gold”, “rich pale gold”, “pale gold”, “copper” as well as aluminium-based for gold an poor aluminium for silver. Besides gold and silver printing inks, Pantone metallic hues are also on offer.
